Three Girls Jailed For Twerking In Russia

Just when I wanted to learn how to twerk, people are getting jailed for it!

I have so much to say about this particular news but imma let y'all finish reading before i humbly give my two-cents.

Three women in Russia have been arrested for twerking at a World War II monument. A court in southern Russia has sentenced the three young women to brief jail terms for making a video showing them twerking next to a World War II memorial.

The Chicago Tribune reports that five of the six women who were seen twerking at the monument were found guilty of “hooliganism.” Two of the ones who were found guilty were spared jail sentences due to their health conditions. The other three women, a 19-year-old and two 20-year-old’s, were sentenced to 15 days and 10 days respectively in jail.

 The sixth dancer who happens to be a minor was not convicted of the hooliganism charge; however, officials now plan to press charges against her parents (really? her parents?).

Prosecutors in Novorossiysk also said they were pressing charges against the parents of one underage girl who was twerking with the others girls for “the failure to encourage the physical, intellectual, physiological, spiritual and moral development of a child.”

This is absolutely ridiculous! As you can obviously see they didn't go looking for any monument to twerk in front of but they were at a 'dance centre' if anybody should be jailed or reprimanded, it should be whoever built a dance centre beside a monument. What were they expecting? People not using the dance centre?

These girls are just dancing for pits'sake, and don't even get me started on the part where prosecutors are pressing charges on one under-aged's parents, they have got to be joking, this has to be the joke of the century, in-fact, it's not just the joke, its the punchline of the joke. It is absolutely ridiculous, i can't even start to fathom there was a court session for this and a "Judge" had enough time on his/her hands to preside over this joke of a case. Outrageous!
