The latest MARVEL project went from being an underdog to a mega hit in it's first weekend making $135 million in it's opening weekend and presently has made up to $325.4 million at the box office.
The movie has become a world wide sensation with a strong fan base that is already petitioning NBC's Saturday Night Live comedy show to have Deadpool as a host for one of it's episodes.
So here's all you need to know about this movie; Ryan Reynolds stars as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, a former member of Team X that was first seen in the movie Wolverine : Origins (2009), fast forward to 2015 and Deadpool finally gets his own movie; an R rated movie for that matter; so for those of you who aren't used to hearing vulgar words and seeing X-rated stuff, brace yourselves because the movie is full of it.
Wade wilson is an ex CIA black ops team member who falls in love with an escort Vanessa Carlysle played by Morena Baccarin; they both go on a year long love journey and suddenly life happens. Cancer strikes Deadpool and in attempt to save his life, he signs up for an experimental treatment that changes his life forever. Ryan Reynolds delivers a stunning portrayal of Deadpool with his witty jokes that are mostly sexual in nature.
Generally, the movie is fast, funny and interesting; the kind of movie you wish wouldn't end. Also present in this movie were other MARVEL X-men characters such as Colossus & Negasonic. Other notable cast members include Eid Skrein, Gina Carano, T.J Miller and Stan Lee. So if you're free this weekend, make the effort to see this movie. You'll be glad you did.
